Looking to attend a school outside your designated area? Students who do not attend their designated school require the approval of the school division. This approval is required for every school year.
If you're hoping to register your child at a Grasslands school that isn’t your designated school, you'll need to complete an Alternate School Application Form.
✅ This helps us support your request and plan for classroom space and resources.

Our Brooks Composite High School has received design funding for the modernization of its Career and Technology Studies (CTS).
This means students will have access to updated, hands-on learning spaces that support trades, career pathways, and workplace training. These upgrades will help students gain valuable skills and experiences as they prepare for their futures. We sincerely thank the Government of Alberta for their commitment to funding this project and supporting the future of education in our region.
We look forward to seeing this project come to life and will share updates as things progress!

We’re excited to share an update on the Brooks Junior High Replacement School Project! The project has officially been awarded to Lear Construction Management Ltd., bringing us one step closer to a modern, updated school for junior high students in Brooks.
The new school will have space for 720 students, with room to expand to 820 in the future. It will include open gathering areas, updated CTS labs, and flexible learning spaces designed to support student engagement and hands-on learning.
Construction is set to be completed for the 2026-2027 school year. We’ll keep you updated as the project moves forward!
