Subject: Weather Update & Possible Rural Bus Delays or Cancellations
Dear Rural Parents and Guardians,
We are closely monitoring the weather conditions expected to develop this afternoon, including rain, snow, and colder temperatures.
As weather conditions change, highway travel may become more difficult this afternoon. There is a possibility that any rural bus routes or the rural portion of in town bus routes may be delayed or cancelled to ensure the safety of our students. Families who live in rural areas who are able to safely do so are encouraged to pick up their children from school as soon as possible. If this is not possible, schools may use the emergency billet list to help arrange alternate pick-up.
At this time, no decision has been made, but we wanted to make families aware that transportation adjustments may be necessary as the afternoon progresses.
For students who drive themselves:
If you choose to have your child leave school early due to the weather, we require that you please notify the school office out of an abundance of caution.
Should any transportation changes be required, families will be notified as soon as possible through our usual communication channels.
