On May 9, Eastbrook School welcomed alumni, former staff, families, and community members for a special 50th Anniversary Alumni Gala. It was a wonderful evening celebrating five decades of learning, memories, friendships, and the many people who have helped make Eastbrook such an important part of the community.
From the first bell in 1976 to the students filling the halls today, Eastbrook has been home to generations of learners.
Thank you to everyone who helped organize this special celebration and to all who came out to mark this milestone. Here’s to 50 years of Eastbrook School!

There will be no school on Monday, May 18, for the statutory holiday. We hope all Grasslands families and staff enjoy a safe and relaxing long weekend!
Grasslands Public Schools will be conducting a Herbicide Program to control weeds on School Grounds and other School Division properties. The program will commence on May 22 and run until May 24, pending weather.
All herbicide applications will be in strict accordance with all regulations established by Alberta Environment, and rates will be at Federally approved label recommendations.
Herbicide warning signs will be placed on all treated Division Property. Please stay off treated areas until signs are removed.

May is Mental Health Month! A time to recognize the importance of connection, wellness, and supporting one another in our school communities.
This week, from May 4–10, Grasslands Public Schools is celebrating Mental Health Week. Throughout the division, our MHCB and wellness teams will be leading a variety of activities to support the well-being of students and staff.
From wellness walks and lunchtime dance competitions to spirit days, Hats On for Mental Health, Chalk the Walk, and daily mental health announcements, schools will be finding meaningful ways to build connection, encourage resilience, and share practical strategies that support positive mental health every day.
Thank you to our teams for helping create school communities where wellness and belonging are part of the conversation.
