Grasslands Public Schools is pleased to announce that Ida Scarpelli has accepted the role of Principal at Duchess School beginning in the 2025–2026 school year.
Ida brings over 20 years of experience in education, having served in a wide range of roles across K–12 schools, including significant leadership in high school settings. She began her career as a Career and Technology teacher before moving into school administration, where she has worked as both a vice principal and principal in Alberta and British Columbia.
Most recently, she served as a vice principal, working closely with staff, students, and families to build collaborative, inclusive learning environments. Ida holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Royal Roads University.
