Welcome Back to Bassano School

Dear Students, Parents, and Families,

It is that time again as we slowly but inevitably march our way toward the start of a new school year. My staff and I hope you have had a restful and wonderful summer and are ready — or as ready as you can be — to start classes in a few weeks.

Here are some information to help you prepare for the start of school.

Registration

If you are new to Bassano and looking to register for school, please visit the Grasslands website and register. If you live out of town, you may also need to contact the office to arrange for bussing. The sooner you complete both of these steps, the better your chances of ensuring everything is settled before classes start.

Siksika Families

If you are a Siksika family who would like to attend Bassano School, you must first submit a request through the Siksika Board of Education (SBE). Bassano School is unable to register students from Siksika Nation without formal approval from SBE. Once you have that approval, your next step is to register online using the link provided above. Our Siksika Liaison, Chasity Daniels, will reach out closer to the start of school to assist with your transition into Bassano School

School Supplies

Our school supply lists are posted on the school website under Documents, or you can find them here. If you need help with school supplies, please let your child’s teacher know or email the school, and we can help ensure your child has what they need.
